Astra was designed and built by Camper & Nicholsons at Gosport in 1928. She was built for Sir A. Mortimer Singer but she was owned by Mr. Hugh Paul during the 1930s.
Candida was designed by Charles Nicholson and built by Camper & Nicholson at Gosport in 1929 for Mr. H.A. Andrae, merchant banker. She was rated at ’23 metres’. She was extremely successful and competed at Cowes up until the Second World War.
